Our team at AMS is passionate about motorsport with combined motorsport experience of well over 50 years..

Our managing director Angus comes from an automotive and motorsport family.
His Grandfather Alan, was one of the first members of the Aston Martin Owners Club, (AMOC) owning several Aston Martins, in the 60`s and 70`s.
Alan went on to become the chairman of the AMOC, and played a big part in the clubs archive, he was the author of several prestigious Aston Martin books, including the `complete car`.
Alan passed his enthusiasm onto his sons Jeff and Stephen, who between them over the years have rebuilt several Aston`s to concours standard, before turning their attention to racing.
Between them they have owned, looked after and competed in a huge range of cars, including pre and post war Astons and more recently both classic and modern Porsches.

Angus was collected from hospital after birth by his father Jeff in an Aston Martin DB4, his passion literally started there, he attended his first race meeting just 3 weeks later and hasn`t stopped since.
He has attended hundreds of motorsport events initially spectating and as soon as possible assisting with family and friends in competition.
At the age of 17 he was offered the opportunity to race the family Porsche 911, and successfully completed 3 seasons of the Porsche Club Speed Championship, with many class podiums, and a highlight of winning the Porsche Festival at Brands Hatch in 2006.
He has since competed as a driver whenever possible, including competing Tour Brittania, Intermarque races and even the 2CV 24 Hour race!

Angus took the decision to leave school at 16, and undertook a motorsport based engineering qualification.
He then worked for several years at an independent Porsche specialist / race team, before several race seasons travelling the globe working at every race imaginable for a variety of top level professional teams, fielding GT2, GT3 and GT4 cars.
In 2008 he was offered the opportunity to work with two clients privately and decided to setup AMS to offer his clients an affordable and reliable service.
Since then as a team we have fielded dozens of cars in a wide range of championships both nationally and internationally.

Individually and as a team we have enjoyed success across nearly all disciplines of motorsport, including autocross, hill climbing / sprints, stage rallying and sprint / endurance racing at a highly professional level, and many national and international club events.
Our particular experience is with high powered sports and GT cars, both modern and historic.
